- ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪My husband had recently had a heart attack. He was told by his Dr to go to the nearest ER after experiencing a complication, which unfortunately was this place. He was taken back immediately, but the nurses had no pep in their step as if this wasn't an emergency. The Dr acted as if we had no reason to be there, and almost dismissed us. I had to leave to tend to my kids. Due to my concern, I called and spoke to a man in the ER who was so rude, you would have thought I dragged him out of bed. He had an angry demeanor, and after I said "thanks for the report", he hung up on me instantly.They need to be reminded by patients they need care. A good ER does not make a cardiac patient wait 6 hrs for a test result. It turns out he developed a life threatening conditon, we are lucky the waiting didn't kill him. If the new hospital is as deplorable as this one, the South Hill and surrounding areas are in a lot of trouble. This place doesn't deserve to be called a hospital.April 27, 2017by Momof2
